The Director of Proposal Management leads the global WinCenter proposal function, driving excellence in the development of high-quality, competitive proposals for large-scale, complex opportunities across all Zones offerings. This leader sets the strategic direction for proposal operations, manages a high-performing global team, and partners closely with sales, solutioning, product, and executive stakeholders to increase win rates and accelerate growth. 
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in infrastructure services pursuits, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and elevates the proposal discipline through innovation, process rigor, and exceptional leadership. 
 
What you’ll do as Director of Proposal Management:

Strategic Leadership & Governance 
  • Define and execute the global proposal management strategy aligned to organizational growth priorities. 
  • Establish proposal governance frameworks, quality standards, and best practices based on Shipley methodology. 
  • Serve as the executive escalation point for proposal issues, risks, and strategic decisions. 
  • Partner with sales, solutioning, and executive leadership to shape win strategies early in the RFx lifecycle. 
Team Leadership & Operational Excellence 
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of proposal managers, writers, and coordinators. 
  • Oversee resource planning, workload distribution, and performance management across regions. 
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
  • Implement training programs to strengthen proposal skills across the organization. 
End-to-End Proposal Oversight 
  • Oversee the full RFx response lifecycle, ensuring deliverables are compliant, compelling, and submitted on time. 
  • Guide cross-functional teams through planning, kickoff, content development, reviews, design, and publishing. 
  • Ensure proposal strategies, win themes, and value propositions are clearly articulated and aligned with client needs. 
  • Review and approve major submissions, ensuring quality, accuracy, and executive alignment. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration 
  • Coordinate inputs from sales, solutioning, product teams, partners, finance, commercial, legal, and delivery. 
  • Facilitate executive-level engagement and decision-making throughout the proposal process. 
  • Strengthen collaboration with global teams to ensure consistency and efficiency across regions. 
Content, Tools & Knowledge Management 
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of proposal templates, content libraries, and reusable assets. 
  • Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with RFx requirements. 
  • Drive adoption of proposal technologies and content platforms to improve efficiency and quality. 
  • Capture lessons learned and integrate them into future proposals and content repositories. 
Continuous Improvement & Innovation 
  • Identify and lead initiatives to enhance proposal quality, speed, and win probability. 
  • Analyze win/loss data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. 
  • Introduce innovative approaches to storytelling, design, and proposal presentation. 
What you will bring to the team:  
Required 
  • 10+ years leading large, complex infrastructure services RFx responses for global technology systems integrators. 
  • Demonstrated experience managing globally distributed teams. 
  • Proven ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels. 
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and communication skills, including C-level engagement. 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Deep understanding of hardware, software, professional services, and managed services offerings. 
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving capabilities. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant proposals. 
Preferred 
  • APMP certification. 
  • Experience with Shipley-based proposal processes. 
  • Experience managing proposals ranging from rapid-turnaround responses to multi-hundred-million-dollar pursuits.

Qualified candidates can expect compensation in the range of: $150,000 - $180,000 with bonus potential
